Crispy Air Fryer Ravioli: 15-Min Easy Homemade Recipe

  • Author: Saly
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A quick and easy weeknight dinner featuring frozen cheese ravioli coated in panko breadcrumbs and air-fried to shattering-crisp perfection, served with warm marinara sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (24-30 pieces) frozen cheese ravioli
  • ½ cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup (80g) panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil (for spraying)
  • 2 cups (500g) marinara sauce
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko mixed with Italian seasoning and garlic powder.
  3. Dip frozen ravioli into the flour, shaking off excess, then into the egg wash, and finally roll in the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Arrange breaded ravioli in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  5. Lightly spray or brush the ravioli with oil.
  6. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through with tongs, until golden brown and crispy.
  7. While ravioli cook, warm the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  8. Serve immediately with warm marinara, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.

Notes

Do not thaw the ravioli before cooking; cooking from frozen ensures a crisp exterior and prevents the pasta from becoming mushy. Press the breadcrumbs firmly onto the ravioli to prevent them from falling off. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding, which leads to steaming instead of crisping. For best texture, serve immediately or reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes.
