Description
A quick, refreshing, and creamy mango lassi made with ripe mangoes, Greek yogurt, and cardamom. This probiotic-rich drink is perfect for breakfast, snacks, or as a healthy dessert alternative.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large ripe mango, peeled and cubed (about 1.5 cups)
- 1 cup (240g) full-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (whole, oat, or almond)
- 1–2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 4–6 ice cubes (optional, if using fresh mango)
- Optional: Saffron threads, chia seeds, or vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prep the mango: If using fresh mango, peel and cube into 1-inch pieces. If using frozen chunks, let them soften slightly for 5-10 minutes.
- Add ingredients to blender: Combine mango, Greek yogurt, milk, honey, and cardamom in a blender. Add ice cubes if using fresh mango.
- Blend until smooth: Start on low speed, then increase to high. Blend for 30-60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust: Check sweetness and consistency. Add more honey if needed, or more milk if too thick.
- Serve immediately: Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with cardamom powder or saffron threads if desired.
Notes
For extra creaminess, add a tablespoon of cottage cheese. If using canned mango, drain the syrup well to avoid excess sweetness. The lassi is best made fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours; stir well before drinking as separation may occur.
