Copycat Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew Recipe Easy Homemade with Simple Ingredients

  • Author: Saly
  • Total Time: 12 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A creamy, lightly sweet vanilla sweet cream cold brew coffee that mimics the café favorite using simple ingredients you likely have at home. Perfect for busy mornings and refreshing on hot days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee (85g)
  • 4 cups cold, filtered water (950ml)
  • ½ cup heavy cream (120ml)
  • ½ cup whole milk (120ml)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup simple syrup (60ml) (equal parts sugar and water dissolved)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 cup coarsely ground coffee with 4 cups cold water in a large jar or pitcher. Stir gently to wet all grounds. Cover and steep in the fridge overnight or at least 12 hours.
  2. Strain the steeped coffee through a fine mesh sieve lined with a coffee filter or cheesecloth into a clean container to get the cold brew concentrate.
  3. Make simple syrup by heating equal parts sugar and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Let cool.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together ½ cup heavy cream, ½ cup whole milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and ¼ cup simple syrup until smooth and slightly thickened but not whipped.
  5. Fill a glass halfway with ice cubes. Pour about 1 cup cold brew coffee over the ice.
  6. Top with ¼ to ⅓ cup vanilla sweet cream, pouring gently to create a swirling effect. Stir if desired.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness or creaminess as preferred. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use coarse coffee grounds for best flavor and easier filtering. Simple syrup dissolves better than granulated sugar in cold drinks. Adjust cream to milk ratio to lighten or enrich the sweet cream. Cold brew concentrate lasts up to 2 weeks refrigerated; sweet cream best fresh within 3-4 days. Avoid overfilling glass with ice to prevent dilution.
